| As an employment agency we collect and store personal and possibly sensitive information from you directly when you complete one of our online forms or provide any other information in connection with your application or to us for registration.
Personal Information is any information about you which includes you work experience, qualifications and references about your work performance and other information obtained by us in connection with your possible work placements. Sensitive Information is any information that is private about you, including membership of professional association or a trade union, criminal record, health or disability (at any time) etc. Sensitive Information can only be disclosed at your consent.
We will use information that you and also third parties (Including referees and where relevant and customer service appraisals) provide to us about you (Personal Information) to provide and enhance our services to you. This includes, if you are seeking suitable candidates for vacancies within your organization, contacting you with details of candidates that we think you may interested in. If you are a candidate, this may include assessing your suitability for relevant vacancies, checking details which you provide to us (such as qualifications and experience), obtaining references from your named referees, undertaking temporary service appraisals and contacting you in connection with possible
vacancies and other such recruitment purposes. We may also, on occasion, use your Personal Information to carry out market research.
We may also retain your Personal Information for the purpose of matching employers and candidates in the future. Your personal information will also be collected when:
- We receive results of any competency or medical test;
- We receive performance feedback (whether positive or negative);
- We receive any complaint from or about you in the workplace;
- We receive any information about a workplace accident in which you are involved;
- We receive any information about any insurance investigation or professional disciplinary matter, inquest or enquiry in which you are involved;
- You provide us with any additional information about you
All Personal Information is retained for a period of at least one year from the date on which Talent Recruitment ceases to seek work opportunities on your behalf.
Where your personal information is retained on our files, please help us to keep it up to date by informing us if you become aware that any personal information that we process about you is inaccurate or out-of-date.
When might we disclose your Personal Information to third parties?
We may disclose Personal Information about you to the following third parties in the following circumstances:
- If you are a candidate, to potential employers and vice versa
- To our service providers, for example, mailing companies etc.
- To business who are part of the Talent Recruitment to secure work opportunities on your behalf
Access
Subject to some exemptions which are set out in the national Privacy Principles (Principle 6 – Access & Correction) you have a right to see and have a copy of personal and sensitive information about you that we hold. If for any reason you are able to establish that personal or sensitive information that we hold about you is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct it so that it is accurate and up-to date.
